MONTE is operated by Terra-X Global Technologies Limited, Hong Kong company registration number 79755923, the same company that operates Terra-X. This notice covers information used to provide MONTE accounts, wallets, cards and related services.
Information we handle
Depending on the services you use, information includes your name, date of birth, nationality, address, identity documents and identity-verification images; email, phone number, account credentials and preferences; balances, fees, wallet addresses, deposits, withdrawals, transfers and card activity; and device, browser, IP address and security-log information.
Why we use information
We use information to administer accounts, verify identity, provide wallet and card services, process transactions, respond to support requests and protect against fraud and misuse. Processing also supports compliance and record-keeping obligations. The applicable basis may be performance of our agreement with you, legal obligations, legitimate security and operational interests, or consent where required.
Photos, camera and device authentication
When you choose identity verification, MONTE uploads the identity-document photos and selfie you capture or select, along with file information needed to validate the upload. These are processed for identity verification, including by Interlace. Camera access also supports scanning a withdrawal destination QR code. Saving a deposit QR image writes the image to your device. Device biometric unlock is separate from the KYC selfie: the app uses the operating system’s authentication result rather than uploading your fingerprint or device face-unlock template.
Records and messages you choose to provide
Personal Ledger entries, including amounts, categories, sources and notes, are sent to MONTE when you save them; they are not exclusively stored on your device. Support requests include the subject, message and any related order reference you submit. We use these records to provide the requested ledger and support features. Avoid entering sensitive information that is not needed for your request.
Sign-in and security identifiers
MONTE generates an app-specific device identifier and sends it with sign-in and session requests to support account security and device-session management. This is distinct from an advertising identifier. Security records can include account identifiers and authentication events.
Service providers and disclosure
Information may be shared as needed with payment, card and custody partners; identity and compliance providers; hosting and communications providers; and authorities where legally required. Terra-X’s policy states that personal data is not sold. Blockchain transaction information is public and cannot be removed from the blockchain by MONTE.
International processing and retention
Providers may process information outside your country of residence. Applicable safeguards must be maintained for those transfers. Information is retained to operate services and satisfy legal, regulatory, security and record-keeping requirements. Some financial and identity records may need to remain after account closure. Data no longer required is deleted or anonymised in accordance with the applicable retention requirements.
Security and device storage
Access controls, secure communications and monitoring help protect information, but no system is risk-free. Keep your credentials confidential. Browser and device storage can support sessions and preferences; clearing local storage does not delete your account or server-side financial records.
Privacy requests
Contact admin@montehq.com to request access, correction or deletion of personal information, or to raise a privacy concern. See account and data deletion instructions; no sign-in is required to contact the team. Rights and deletion may be limited by applicable legal and record-keeping obligations. Do not email passwords, verification codes or full card details.
Payments and physical-card delivery
Transfer requests include the recipient identifier, amount, currency and any transaction note you provide. Withdrawals include the selected network and destination address; saved destinations can include a label. Card funding and purchase records include card or order references, amounts, fees and processing status. For physical-card delivery, we collect the delivery recipient’s name, email, phone number and shipping address, and a tax identifier where applicable. Delivery information is sent to Interlace for fulfilment. Shipping records may include the carrier and tracking number. Provide another person’s details only when you are authorised to do so.
Embedded calendar and secure card display
Opening Market Pulse loads an economic-calendar widget from TradingView with your selected language and currency filters. These requests expose technical connection information, including your IP address and browser or device information, to TradingView. TradingView describes widget analytics, including device identifiers and interaction events, in its privacy policy. MONTE does not pass your MONTE login credentials, wallet balance or card details into the calendar configuration. When you unlock card details, MONTE requests a short-lived access token tied to your provider account and card. Interlace’s secure display uses that token to show the card number, expiry and security code in provider-hosted fields. The provider receives the display requests and associated connection information. These embedded services are distinct from information processed only on your device.

MONTE is intended for people aged 18 and over, not children.
Android scanner diagnostics
The Android QR scanner uses Google ML Kit. Its SDK collects technical information such as device model and operating-system version, app version, installation identifiers, scanner events, error codes and performance measurements for diagnostics and usage analytics. Google documents encrypted transmission of this information. QR image processing on the device is distinct from this technical collection and from identity photos you explicitly upload for KYC.
